Discover the Williams family story from enslavement to freedom as you follow in their footsteps at Fort Frederick State Park. This self-guided walking tour is just under one mile from the Visitor Center. Portions of the tour are accessible by vehicle for visitors with mobility challenges.

The location of our 2022 Juneteenth Fundraiser Event has been changed! Join us on Join us on Sunday, June 19th, 2022 from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm at the Rockland Estates in Fairplay, MD. Rockland Estates was once known as Frisby Tilghman Farm and was the home of James W.C. Pennington, a slave who escaped the farm and went on to become a famous orator, minister, writer, and abolitionist activist. Dean Herrin, retired Chief Historian, of the National Capital Region of the National Park Service will be joining us to the fascinating story of Mr. Pennington! Our celebration will include living history reenactors, storytellers, music, and more!
