Walk in Remembrance

Join us for a walking tour of historic Jonathan street celebrating Juneteenth. Featured speaker will be Professor Lynn Bowman, Maryland State Commissioner of African-American History & Culture. The tour begins at Asbury Methodist Church, 155 N Jonathan Street at 2PM. We will be walking several blocks and end at the Robert W. Johnson Center, 109 North Street around 3:30 PM. Program is sponsored by the African-American Historical Association of Western Maryland and by Visit Hagerstown, Washington County Maryland.

Hallowed Ground Tour

Our Hallowed Ground Tour has been rescheduled for September 21, 2019. This will be a driving tour with four stops: Rose Hill Cemetery; Saint Marks Episcopal Church; Tolson Chapel AAM Church; and the Kennedy Farm. Cost is $20 per person with children free.
